Table Lamp Ramble

The Met x Eichholtz introduces the Table Lamp Ramble, a sculptural lighting piece that brings subtle elegance to any room.

Its antique gold finish and black marble base combine to create a striking visual contrast rooted in classical form. As a decorative object, it’s both functional and evocative, channeling the poetic spirit of historical ceramic design into a refined lighting solution.

INSPIRATION

This lamp is inspired by a chrysanthemum-shaped dish from China’s Qing dynasty (1644–1911) housed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Crafted in the 18th–19th century, the original object translates the beauty of nature into decorative form—a tradition echoed in this modern interpretation.
